Spontaneous Sunflower

One Platypus’ Journey.

My Current Thought Process

So after participating in The Lovely Swap, I really really want to participate in another awap. I really enjoyed putting together my Valentine’s package for my partner in Texas. But my dilemma is that I don’t want to wait for another swap to come around. So I have decided to host my own swap!! Wooohooo. This will be a first and I am not sure how well it will go, but I plan on giving it a shot. I have a few ideas brewing for themes and such. Just waiting on a final decision and figuring out dates and everything. So I hope that when the swap details are revealed… All of you will participate, even though I know a lot of you will not. But if you’re on the fence, do it!!!

It will make me very sad if you don’t, and it will make you really happy if you do!!!

Week In Review:

One Week Ago: Homeworked it all day, got dressed up in Airplane Love Threadless shirt and pinstrip campri pants and headed out to dinner with Dan. Got to Eva’s and what-did-ya-know? it was closed on Sunday’s and Mondays. Went to Bonefish instead. Excellent meal. Watched She’s All That.

6 Days Ago: Went to Class. Huge snow storm so I came home instead of watching Gilmore Girls at Dan’s.

5 Days Ago: Parking lot not plowed by 8:30 in the morning. Betty wasn’t able to drive over the massive piles of snow.  I was and hour and a half late to work. Another massive snow buildup that night. Watched One Tree Hill and Beauty and the Geek with Mom.

4 Days Ago: Watched A Panther in Africa instead of having lecture for class. It was a documentary about Pete O’Neil, a former Black Panther, who is exiled and has been living in Tanzania for the past 30 or so years. Pretty interesting. Went to Cru and to bed early.

3 Days Ago: Worked all day long. Betty was able to drive through the massive piles of snow from the night before. Finally got to go to Eva’s with Dan. Ate 3 entrees and a piece of Raspberry Cheesecake.  Watched Marie Antionette with Dan and Mom.

2 Days Ago: Left for work at 7:10, only to be stopped at 7:15, after the car was warmed up, by backing into a Delivery Truck in the parking lot. Betty now has her first Kim-induced injury. I don’t think she’ll forgive me, but Dan thinks she will. Her driver’s side back light is smashed and looking extremely sad.  Arrived at work 30 minutes late and managed to piss a few people off. Went to the Young’s house and ate leftover Evas, and watched The Terminator.

1 Day Ago: Woke up early, planning on doing homework but narrowly avoided it by inviting Dan to breakfast at Bruggers. Went to the 10:00 service instead of the 11:30, managed to avoid laughing at the worship lyrics. Had grilled cheese and tomato soup with Paul, Michelle and their new dog, Kirby. Played a few hours of Mario Kart and Mario Tennis. Wen back to the Young’s, ate, bascially, a Thanksgiving Day Fiest, learned how to play Michigan Rummy and watched The Terminator II.

Dan and I leave for the Oregon Coast Thursday Afternoon!!! Woot.

Happy Happy Happy

Happy “I wanna be loved and cherished every day of the year” Day!!!!

Tonight I’ll Eat Like A Queen…

That is a Polish Queen.

Dan and I are going out on a date tonight to Eva’s European Sweets!!! I absolutely love that place. It’s a tiny little restaraunt ran by Eva and her family straight from Poland. It’s amazing!

I’ve been going there for my Birthday Celebration Dinner for the past few years, and one year we got there and Eva didn’t have Blueberry Pierogi on the Specials for Desert that night. Well Eva found out that it was my Birthday and that the only kind of Desert that I wanted was Blueberry Pierogi. She immediately sent the busboy to the market to buy fresh blueberries just so I could have my wonderful and delicious Birthday Desert!!!

Oh Eva!

So tonight I plan on eating a lot of Pierogi and Golabki. My usual Eva’s meal, but lately I’ve been craving some Bigos as well~~ I’ll have to bat my eyes at Dan to see if I can get 3 entrees instead of the normal 2!!

It’s a darn good thing that Dan and I started going to the gym a few days a week!!

Let The Games Begin

Dan and I had our first premarital session with Jeff and Krista Parrett on Sunday afternoon. We ate garlic pizza, Krista’s famous cookies and grapes. Deliciousness. We both got embarassed when we were asked to tell them why we loved and wanted to marry each other and hear what the other said. I think I blushed quite a bit.

Pre-marital Counseling

We had this huge plan to buy inflatable or foam bats and take them with us. A little something to help release our anger, but we ran out of time and didn’t get to the store in time. Oh well, maybe one day we’ll be able to find some in time to go to the Parrett’s house. Maybe we’ll even buy them a set so they can have it for their own arguements.
